When I got the call to ‘do’ the floral decor for a private festival I was beyond excited. There was going to be 600 people at a Stately home, flowing drinks, scrumptious food vendors and some incredible musical talent. This was a private party never to be forgotten.
The brief was ethereal and natural, and of course impressive. Purples, pinks and whites with all hues and tones in between. Foraged, a wild ‘just grown their’ style, to be collected from the client’s land where possible.
It was an incredible experience. So labour intensive but oh so very rewarding. What an honour to be involved with this.
After months of planning and preparation the Florist By Nature team put together something truly magical. An enchanting flower arch upon arrival, perfect for those photo opportunities. An overgrown display at the entrance of the vegetable garden gin bar. Then the flower clouds surrounding the marquee lighting. Now they took some time. Blood sweat and tears went into those but what we produced was simply breath taking.
There were no restrictions with this. The clients gave almost complete free reign for me to design and create these pieces and what we produced was straight out of a fairy tale. The logistics of these designs certainly called for some thoughtful moments logistics wise but I always feel that if you can dream it we can produce it.
